Liverpool returned to the Brittania Stadium today a mere 77 days after they had been humiliated 6-1 at the hands of Stoke, something hat appears to have cost a number of the backroom staff at Anfield club their jobs.
Today's match had fewer goals but still produced plenty of talking points as a number of new Liverpool and Stoke signings made their competitive debuts for their respective clubs.
