Hook:"Kyle is the greatest rugby player Ireland has ever produced"

George Hook has described Jack Kyle as the "greatest rugby player Ireland has ever produced".

Speaking to Newstalk Lunchtime, the Right Hook presenter and rugby pundit paid a fitting tribute to Kyle who passed away today at the age of 88.

Kyle won three Five Nations Championships for Ireland, including the 1948 Grand Slam. He also represented the Lions.

George says Kyle was "more than a hero" and "had no peer", with his greatest asset being speed over a short distance.
