'Limerick got the breaks at the right time'

In the aftermath of Limerick's Munster Championship over Clare, Jamesie O'Connor and Daithi Regan joined Joe on Off the Ball last night to look back on the first big hurling clash of the summer.

1-19 to 2-14 was the final score as Limerick booked their place to face Tipperary in the semi finals.

Both Jamesie and Daithi spoke to Joe about how they think Clare can still influence this years Championship from the qualifiers and may even go close to matching their 2013 All Ireland heroics.

Both sides finished with 14 men and Jamesie felt that the Limerick sending off of Seanie Tobin was particulary harsh.

Limerick's Shane Dowling spoke to Joe earlier in the night, and mentioned the physicality of the Clare side.

Both Jamesie and Daithi agreed that the presence of Davy Fitzgerald on the sideline may have an influence of referee's with the managers constant presence and pressurising of officials on the sideline.

Daithi Regan put forward the idea of Davy Fitzgerald leaving the sideline and basing himself in the stands during games and relaying information to his selectors on the sideline.

Cian Lynch may be Limerick's missing piece of the jigsaw this season, with Daithi claiming that Limerick were one forward short of beating Kilkenny in last seasons semi final, and last years Limerick Minor captain may be that man.
