Manchester United have announced they have agreed terms with Bayern Munich to sign midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The 2014 World Cup winner will become the first German to play for United's first team. He joined the Bayern Munich youth team in 1998 and has been at the club ever since making over 340 appearances for the first team. He has also over 100 caps for Germany.
At his time in Munich, he won eight German leagues, seven German Cups and a Champions League title.
He will rejoin former manager Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford. The Dutchman managed Schweinsteiger in Munich from 2009 to 2011.
