Manchester United to pay Malcolm Glazer's children £15 million a year

Malcolm Glazers six children will be paid £15 million a year with news of a divided to shareholders being announced.

The news comes on the back of a hugely profitable 2014-15 financial performance and was decided upon by the board of directors. It comes as no suprise that Avram, Joel, Kevin, Bryan, Edward Glazer, and their sister, Darcie Glazer Kassewitz sit on the board of directors and were directly involved in the decision to reward shareholders with £2.5 million a year.

The Glazers own 80% of Manchester UNited shares and will be paid £0.03 every three months per share, which adds up to £15 million over the course of a year.

There were rumours that not making the Champions League would result in devastating financial results but Ed Woodward, United’s vice-chairman, said the club was in a position to withstand such occurances.

The club recently signed a £750 million Adidas kit deal and have since qualified for the Champions League resulting in a predicted income of £500 million during the 2015-16 season.
