Ireland will play a friendly match against Northern Ireland today at the Aviva Stadium but the match will be held behind closed doors.

Both coaches will use the fixture as a chance to assess their squads ahead of their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Scotland and Romania.

 

US SPORT

American College Football looks set to return to Ireland next year.

The Taoiseach is set to announce "a major international sports tourism event" later this morning at the Mansion House in Dublin.

He is expected to confirm that the meeting of Boston College and Georgia Tech will be held here in 2016.

Team captain William Porterfield will be hoping his bowlers can mop up the UAE lower-order quickly this morning in Malahide, which would give his side a chance of sealing victory with a day to spare.
