Moving Day: Who went where on Deadline Day?

As the clock strikes 11pm and the transfer window shuts until the summer, there will be much talk of the teams who completed the best business in January.

A number of Irish players secured moves in search of more first team football and some even made the leap into England's top flight.

Here's some of the best of the final day's action in of the window.

Southampton have signed Italy international striker Manolo Gabbiadini from Napoli. He arrives at the Premier League side on a four-and-a-half-year contract. The club announced the news shortly after a 2-1 top flight defeat at Swansea this evening.

Swansea have signed Jordan Ayew from Aston Villa - with Neil Taylor going the other way.

Earlier, Burnley broke their transfer record by bringing in Ireland's Robbie Brady from Norwich - having also signed Ashley Westwood from Villa.

Serbia international Luka Milivojevic has joined Crystal Palace from Olympiakos. It's understood France defender Mamadou Sakho has also joined the club on loan from Liverpool.

Leeds have signed Modou Barrow on-loan from Swansea until the end of the season. Boss Garry Monk brought the Gambia winger to England when he was in charge of the Premier League side.

Elsewhere Watford striker Odion Ighalo's off to Chinese club Changchun Yatai for a reported fee of £20m. Middlesbrough, meanwhile, have poached another played from the Hornets - completing the signing of Adlene Guedioura.

Ireland duo Eoin Doyle and Conor Sammon have secured loan moves to Portsmouth and Kilmarnock respectively today. Doyle joins from Bolton, while Sammon moves from Scottish side Hearts until the end of the season.

Hull have brought in former Sunderland midfielder Alfred N'Diaye on loan until the end of the season. He's joined from Spanish club Villarreal.

Leicester have brought in new defender Molla Wague has joined on loan until the end of the season.

He's come from Italian side Udinese, where he's been on loan from Grenada since 2014. Leicester have an option to buy Wague from the Spanish club at the end of the agreed loan deal.

Not Quite

One of the more unlikely transfer rumours didn't become reality tonight.

Celtic striker Moussa Dembele's tweeted to say "what else" - along with a photo of him playing in the club's top - after interest from Premier League leaders Chelsea.

He'll be staying put until at least the summer, when Brendan Rodgers will demand at least £40m for his services.
