NFL Recap: Dallas make in ten wins in a row after Thanksgiving win against Washington

Thursday's NFL Thanksgiving games saw Dallas Cowboys continue their improbable run towards the latter stages of the playoffs.

The NFC East team moved to 10-1 for the season with a hard-fought 31-26 win over divisional rivals, Washington Redskins. Even with a late-season collapse, the Cowboys should have done enough to guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs.

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, the rookie duo continue to shine for the team, with both players impressing in the win. Prescott threw for a touchdown and ran in for another, as Elliott also ran into the end zone twice.

Even in defeat, Washington quarter-back Kirk Cousins had an excellent game, throwing for almost 450-yards, including three touchdowns.

In the NFC North, a kick from Detroit's Matt Prater gave the Lions a 16-13 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions now have a one-game advantage over the Vikings at the top of the division.

Minnesota threw the game away, leading by three with less than two minutes to go. Prater levelled the game in the final 90 seconds, and Detroit intercepted the ball deep in Vikings territory, to give the Lions their sixth Thanksgiving Day win in a row.

The final game of the day saw Pittsburgh move to the top of the AFC North after a comfortable win over Indianapolis.

Antonio Brown scored three touchdowns in the 28-7 win, as the Colts badly struggled without first-choice quarterback Andrew Luck at home.
