One League of Ireland club tries the Scottish approach to gaining fans

Many League of Ireland teams find it difficult to entice fans to games, especially in the Summer months. That task becomes even more difficult when there is an international fixture the same weekend.

FAI Cup champions St. Patrick's Athletic are hoping their promotion for tomorrow nights game will entice both Irish and Scottish fans to the match against Limerick. Any fans who wear a kilt tomorrow night will be given free entry to the game.

The club have announced that they will add a Scottish flavour to the club shop tomorrow night serving Irn-Bru to the fans along with shortcake biscuits.

The club will also have a raffle at the game for two tickets for Saturday's crucial Euro 2016 qualifier between Ireland and Scotland in the Aviva Stadium.

St Pat's are in need of a win, they currently lie in fourth place in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division, ten points behind leaders Dundalk.
