PIC: The chainsaw celebration has made its football debut

It's not unusual for footballers to bring implements onto the pitch to aid them with their celebrations.

Last season of course, Roma legend Francesco Totti indulged in a selfie celebration after scoring against bitter rivals Lazio.

But a Major League Soccer player upped the ante when he brought a chainsaw on the pitch.

In reference to his team's name, Portland Timbers' Nigerian midfielder Fanendo Adi brandished it after scoring against Seattle Sounders.

Timbers keep a log behind their goal at their stadium which their mascot, Timber Joey, cuts with the aforementioned tool.
