Did you know that Arsenal fans are quite prolific when it comes to purchasing football artwork?
That's one of the facts shared to us by Sligo native and football illustrator Dan Leydon, who joined us for the entirety of this week's Team 33.
The Liverpool fan has an extensive client base for his work, including Nike, ESPN, Los Angeles Galaxy and Setanta Sports among others, while he has been featured by a range of national and international newspapers, TV shows, clubs and magazines including Match of the Day, Football Italia, The Guardian, Liverpool FC, Barcelona FC and The Irish Independent.

He first rose to prominence when Off The Ball's European football correspondent Graham Hunter got him to do illustrations for his book Barca: The Making of the Greatest Team In the World and has not looked back.
He chatted to us about all that more, including the ideas behind the illustrations themselves in the sense that it is about drawing the personality as well as the figure itself, what it's like to work from Sligo and the challenges of the football illustration industry.
