Tomorrow at the Helix, former Manchester United, Middlesbrough and England defender Gary Pallister is one our special guests on our Off The Ball Roadshow.
The 49-year-old was part of United sides, alongside your Keanes, Schmeichels and Cantonas, that won league and cup doubles in 1994 and 1996, before leaving for his boyhood club 'Boro in 1998.
While Pallister won many a trophy with Roy Keane, Andy Cole once recalled a run in between the pair at an Off The Ball Roadshow in February of last year that went a little like this:
"I always got on well with Roy. My first trip with Man United, we go to Marbella. Alex Ferguson told us we could have a night out. I came back with Lee Sharpe and I've seen Gary Pallister and Roy Keane standing at the entrance of the hotel. Then I see Pally throw a punch at Roy and Roy's watch fell off. All Roy was concerned about was his watch. He said 'if my watch is broken, Pally, we're gonna have it, we're gonna have it.' I'm standing there thinking 'what is this?' That was my introduction to Man United. They were two great players and I don't think them two spoke a word after that. But now they get on very well."
