Rodgers staunchly opposed to FA Cup semis at Wembley

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is not a big fan of FA Cup semi-finals being played at Wembley.

They face Championship side Blackburn in the last eight on Sunday.

Rodgers does not agree with semis being played at England's national stadium.

He thinks club matches staged there should be reserved for solely for finals.

"In many ways I wish it wasn't at Wembley because I think it takes a little bit from it. For me, Wembley should be the ultimate game and final game. You arrive there to win the final," he said.

In the past, Old Trafford and Villa Park have often hosted semi-final matches.
