Dundalk strengthened their hold of top spot in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division with a 2-1 win away to Cork City.
Billy Dennehy had put the hosts 1-0 up at Turner's Cross, but a brace from Richie Towell turned the game on its head and gave the reigning champions victory over the side they pipped on last season's final day.
Bohemians also continued their fine start to the campaign with a 2-1 win of their own at Derry City, with Kealan Dillon and Mark Griffin's finishes overturning Philip Lowry's eighth minute strike.
Longford Town also picked up an impressive 3-0 result at 10-man Drogheda United (who had Sean Thornton sent off) thanks to a Mark Salmon brace and an early David O'Sullivan goal, while St Patrick's Athletic earned the same result at home to Sligo Rovers.
Aaron Greene found the net twice against his former team as Chris Forrester rounded off the scoring.
First Division leaders Finn Harps stay top of the table in the second tier as they ran out 1-0 winners against Shelbourne.
Athlone Town won by the same score against Waterford United, as UCD drew 1-1 with Cobh Ramblers.
But the big story in the First Division was Danny Furlong's five goals in Wexford Youths' 7-0 hammering of Cabinteely United.
