Saturday Premier League round-up: Chelsea maintain gap at the top after draw with Manchester City

Manchester City ensured they did not lose any more ground in the title race this evening, by drawing 1-all with leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Loic Remy opened the scoring for the home side three minutes before half-time, only for David Silva to equalise just three minutes later.

Chelsea maintain their five-point advantage at the top of the table,

Manchester United are just four points off their city rivals in third following a 3-1 win at home to Leicester, with both Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao netting for United today.

After five months on the sidelines, Daniel Sturridge made a scoring return to the Liverpool side, grabbing the second in the Reds' 2-0 defeat of West Ham.

Tottenham are up to fifth after Harry Kane scored twice in a 3-0 win at West Brom.

Jon Walters scored a hat-trick for Stoke in a 3-1 win at home to second-bottom QPR.

Everton got back in the winning habit with a 1-0 defeat of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

While Sunderland eased their relegation worries - Jermain Defoe got a first goal in red and white stripes in a 2-0 win at home to Burnley.

Hull remain in the bottom 3 following a 3-0 defeat at home to Newcastle in the Premier League's lunchtime kick-off.

Goals from Remy Cabella, Sammy Ameobi and a deflected Yoan Gouffran strike secured the three points for John Carver's side.
