Sexton only 'suffered a minor hamstring injury'

The IRFU have alleviated concern over Jonathan Sexton's availability for Ireland's next Six Nations match against Wales by revealing the Racing Metro man only "suffered a minor hamstring injury" before he was replaced against England yesterday.

With regard to concussion victims Sean O'Brien and Jared Payne, however, both have been confirmed with head injuries and have commenced "graded return-to-play protocols".

All three men have been key for Joe Schmidt as the defending champions Ireland earned three wins from three so far in the tournament, the latest being yesterday's 19-9 success over the Red Rose.
