Sky Sports News duped into using made-up facts about Lincoln Red Imps

There is a researcher who has a lot of explaining to do to Sky Sports News executives.

After Celtic's embarrassing 1-0 loss to Lincoln Red Imps in the Champions League on Tuesday night, presenter Mike Wedderburn spoke to former Celtic player Andy Walker about the loss.

Walker is a regular contributor on Sky, but the Wedderburn was caught out by some made up facts about the Gibraltar champions. After the win on Tuesday night, the infamous @WeahsCousin published some "facts" about the team which quickly went viral.

Those facts were used when trying to put Celtic's defeat into context. The Victoria Stadium is the only one in Gibraltar, so the fact the stadium would be out of use for all the teams due to a  metal detecting society is laughable in itself.

Here is that moment, which will be seen on blooper compilations for years to come.

For the record, Lee Casciaro is actually a policeman, and has not spent six years in prison. You probably already guessed that though.
