The Weekend in Numbers: Arsenal head to Anfield

The big match at the top end of the premier league this weekend sees Arsenal travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool.

Arsene Wenger's men sit a point above Jurgen Klopp's charges in what could prove to be a pivotal game in the race to secure a top four spot at the end of the year.

Liverpool are still reeling from the 3-1 drubbing they received at struggling Leicester on Monday and need a win to keep the pressure on those above them.

Arsenal returned to winning ways against Hull last time out but will also be desperate for a win on Merseyside. Man United play Bournemouth on Saturday morning and could leapfrog both teams so the significance of the Anfield clash becomes even more important.

As the relegation battle intensifies, reigning champions Leicester City will be looking for back-to-back league wins for the first time this season when they entertain Hull City at the King Power stadium.

The Foxes showed the form which won them the title in their last match against Liverpool and a win would give them some breathing space from the relegation zone.

Hull have taken five points from their last four matches but are only two points off the bottom.

On Sunday, Tottenham welcome Everton to White Hart Lane with Spurs needing a win to keep on the heals of leaders Chelsea.

Maurico Pochettino's side have an impressive unbeaten home league record and will put Everton's current form to the test.

Ronald Koeman's side have won six and drawn three of their last nine league games - a run that sees them with an eye on fourth place and a coveted Champions League place.
