The alternative names for that FIFA film are... spectacular

It's fair to say that the FIFA film, United Passions, flopped at the box office but one person who certainly seems to have been affected more than others is its director, Frederic Auburtin.

In his first interview following the release of the film, Auburtin told the Hollywood Reporter: "Now I'm seen as bad as the guy who brought AIDS to Africa or the guy who caused the financial crisis. My name is all over [this mess]."

While revealing some of the issues that he had while working on the film (including a very short time to produce a script) he also revealed the alternative names for the film.

This is spectacular.

Auburtin claims that the two names intended to be used for the film were, wait for it, Men of Legend and The Dreammakers.

"Can you imagine such a title? It's nonsense," the director says. "Then The Dreammakers. Come on."

It, of course, eventually ended up being called United Passions. Not as worthy really.

We really wish we could have sat in on that particular meeting.
