'The distance between her and the number two player is almost unmeasurable'

The Serena Slam is complete.

World Number One Serena Williams won her sixth Wimbledon title this afternoon defeating Garbine Muguruza, 6-4 6-4 in the final. She now holds all four Women's Grand Slam titles and is on course to match Steffi Graf's 1988 record of the calendar Grand Slam.

Williams now lies one Grand Slam title behind Graf on the roll of honour and Grantland.com's Louisa Thomas cannot see the American retiring any time soon. "She will keep finding reasons to play" according to Thomas and if Williams matches and beats Graf's record, Louisa feels that Serena will continue to find motivation.

Looking ahead to tomorrow's men's final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, Thomas thinks that if Federer matches his serving prowess in yesterday's final against Andy Murray, he will win the final.
