'The return of Keith Earls is going to be huge for Munster'

The returns from injury of Keith Earls and James Cronin will give Munster a huge lift at just the right time, according to Irish Independent rugby correspondent Ruaidhri O'Connor.

Speaking to Oisin Langan on the Monday Rewind podcast, Ruaidhri previewed Munster's European match at Saracens.

He says Earls' return could not be more timely given Anthony Foley's side are set to play on a 4G pitch,

"It's a 4G surface where they will have to play a fast game. The return of Keith Earls is going to be huge for them and Cronin gives them extra bulk in the scrum department," said O'Connor, who added that Munster need a huge performance to have a chance of victory.

But what they really need are tries, according to O'Connor. He added: "Munster and Leinster are two of the lowest-scoring teams in the competition and when it comes to the last rankings in two weeks time for quarter-final spots, it could come down to that."
