Having watched the full game from their commentary positions for Off The Ball at the Emirates today, Dave McIntyre and Keith Andrews turned their attention to Arsenal's performance as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat in their first game of the season.
Despite talk about Arsenal being early contenders for the title and adding a lot of solidity at the back with Petr Cech, it was a somewhat lacklustre performance from Arsenal, but mainly thanks to a fantastic performance from West Ham, who closed them down and simply wouldn't let them play, according to Andrews.
there were outstanding performances from Angelo Ogbonna, Reece Oxford and Dimitri Payet might have put a few who were making disastrous predictions for West Ham back in their box, and as Andrews pointed out, Bilic and those in charge of the deals at the club seem to have gotten it absolutely right when it comes to the new signings.
