'Thierry Henry has been disappointing as a pundit' - John Giles

John Giles admits he was bemused by Sky Sports pundit Thierry Henry's view of Javier 'Little Pea' Hernandez's celebration.

The former Arsenal striker was critical of the Mexican for not celebrating with team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo who set him up for Real Madrid's winner against Atletico Madrid in last night's Champions League quarter-finals.

"I couldn't understand what he was talking about to be honest. I think he's been a great player, Henry, but as a pundit so far to me he's been disappointing," John told Off The Ball.

"He was actually talking about Ronaldo, that Little Pea didn't appreciate Ronaldo's part in the goal. But if I saw it properly, Ronaldo ran past the scorer. Ronaldo's one of the worst in the world for not recognising what a team-mate does for him.

"Actually, I think Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness, I think they were having a little laugh at [Henry]."

John also called for Aston Villa's Jack Grealish to be fast-tracked into the Ireland senior setup on tonight's Off The Ball.
