After just eight months at the helm, Aston Villa have released Tim Sherwood from the club. Six successive Premier League defeats coupled with just one win in 10 league games since Sherwood's appointment makes this an unsurprising development.
And as always, the soccer world have taken to social media to discuss the matter. Some of the commentators seem somewhat sympathetic, others reiterated that this news was coming, while the rest are placing wagers to see who will succeed Sherwood.
Tim Sherwood has already booked a flight to Ibiza with Wayne Lineker & Ian Beale. He'll be smashing WKD & chatting up sorts in no time.

Tim Sherwood rejecting Palace was a monumental blessing. Never believed he deserved to get a job in the Premier League anyway. #cpfc
