It was a poor night for Tottenham Hotspur on and off the pitch. The North London side lost to rivals Arsenal in the Capital One Cup and they ruined a photo opportunity with one of sports global stars.
Wayne Gretzky was at White Hart Lane last night to see the game, and "The Great One" was presented with a Spurs jersey before the game by former captain Ledley King with "GRETSKY 99" on the back.
Tottenham's social media team quickly deleted the picture of Gretzky and King after realising their mistake. They even took to their Twitter account again to apologise to the ice hockey star, which the Canadian took with good grace.
Not to worry @SpursOfficial It happens all the time!
