Transfer Round-Up: Stoke pull off coup and De Gea to stay after all?

Stoke City have managed to secure an impressive signature by bringing in Swiss winger Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter Milan for a club record fee.

The talented 23-year-old had been at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday to witness the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Potters' Premier League opener ahead of the move.

Shaqiri, who also has Bayern Munich on his CV, sets Stoke back £12M.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that David De Gea will stay at Manchester United after all.

The goalkeeper, who has been heavy linked with Real Madrid, was dropped for United's opening game of the new season due to a perceived lack of focus according to manager Louis van Gaal.

According to the BBC, United are steadfast in their desire to sell the Spain international, only if Real allow his international colleague Sergio Ramos to go the other way.
