Transfer rumour mill: Di Maria looks set to leave Manchester, De Gea to stay & City chase De Bruyne

The transfer rumour mill continues to rumble on through the summer, and the papers this morning are filled with talk of who is and who isn't headed to the Manchester clubs.

Manchester United appear to be one of the busiest clubs, if the rumours reported in The Sunday People are to be believed, as they report that they've entered the race to sign Everton's John Stones. They face some competition from Chelsea however, as The Sunday Express report that the told Martinez that he was ready to move to a bigger club at the end of last season.

Rafael Benítez has hinted that David De Gea will not be joining the Spanish giants this window either and will be at Manchester United until at least January. Van Gaal has stated that he would like the goalkeeper to stay, but one man who looks set to leave is Angel Di Maria. Multiple sources are reporting that a deal has been agreed with Paris Saint-Germain for the Argentine, and The Sun state that the fee could be around £46.5 million.

Manchester City meanwhile are busy chasing their own top target, former Chelsea player Kevin De Bruyne, who had an amazing season at Wolfsburg. The Daily Star report that the club are lining up a six-year contract and an offer in the region of £53 million. They are also believed to be lining up a move for Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain to replace Edin Dzeko, who looks set to move to either Roma or Arsenal.

In other news, Charlie Austin is being chased by a number of clubs including Newcastle, Leicester and West Ham, who have all been told that they need to meet the £15 million asking price. Fabio Borini has been offered to both Aston Villa and Leicester as Liverpool look to move him on, while they are weighing up a possible move for Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko. Theo Walcott has signed a deal that will keep him at the Emirates until 2019, while goalkeeper David Ospina has also agreed to stay despite the arrival of Petr Cech.

Tottenham have been linked with a number of Bundesliga stars including Christoph Kramer, Sven Bender and Timo Warner, while Crystal Palace are also looking to Germany and have their eye on Borussia Dortmund striker Adrian Ramos. West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is hoping to get Barcelona starlet Alen Halilovic on loan, as the club also move closer to sealing a £10 million move for Everton's Kevin Mirallas.
