When Munster and Ireland legend Paul O'Connell announced his retirement earlier this week, there were shocked reactions and tributes pouring in from around the world of rugby to mark his stunning career.
He had been expected to make his debut for Toulon in the coming weeks, but the injury sustained at the World Cup proved too difficult to come back from for the big man.
He appeared on BBC television on Saturday afternoon as a pundit for the coverage of the game between Ireland and France in Paris, but beforehand they played out a montage featuring some of his finest moments in a green jersey.
