Christmas came early for one Notre Dame player and his family on Monday night, as the guard welcomed back his brother from Afghanistan.
After the game between The Irish and Colgate Raiders, large screens played a message from US soldier Bo Farrell to his brother Matt.
In the video, Bo praises his brother's performance and confesses how much he misses his family. He finishes by saying that he is looking forward to seeing his brother 'really soon'.

"Matty, I’ve been watching you tonight from here," he says on the video. "For us, home is wherever we’re together. And I look forward to being home with you soon. Really, really soon."
Matt notched 13 points during the 77-62 win over the Raiders and Notre Dame took their record to 10-2 for the season.
