WATCH: Canadian footballer celebrates on opposition bench after a touchdown

The NFL season may not be due to start for another few months, but their cousins north of the border are already into the second week of the Canadian Football League season.

On Thursday night, the Montreal Alouettes lost at home to the Ottawa Redblacks, but the game will be best remembered for the actions of their wide receiver Duron Carter.

The 25-year-old scored a touchdown in the 28-13 loss and instead of celebrating with his teammates, Carter ran straight to the Redblacks bench to celebrate in the middle of the opposition and even knocked down an Ottawa coach to the ground.

Carter's action caused a mass brawl between the two sides, before he was eventually ejected from the game.

He is also the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris. The older Carter was an eight-time Pro Bowl star for the Minnesota Vikings.
