An unnamed fan hurled himself into the crowd as the ball came towards him during a Big Bash cricket match between the Melbourne Renegades and the Perth Scorchers in Melbourne on Wednesday.
The punter successfully gathered Chris Gayle's strike in an upside down position, before raising his hand to the cheering masses.
