WATCH: Henrik Larsson inspires one of the greatest moments of BBC's Pointless

Pointless is one of the most popular quiz shows on television.

The show sees teams of two answer questions on a variety of topics, looking for the most obscure answer. The more obscure the answer, the greater chance the team has of advancing.

Once advancing to the jackpot round, the team have to name a "pointless answer" to win the prize. That means they need to name a correct answer that nobody else got correct.

On Wednesday's show, sisters Tasha and Jo were in the jackpot round. Their topic was "The Year 2000", with one of the questions looking for any goalscorer from Euro 2000 that summer.

After much deliberation they chose Sweden's Henrik Larsson, who was in the middle of a legendary spell at Celtic. Shockingly, the answer won the duo £2,250.

On winning the jackpot Tasha revealed it was all down to the advice of her boyfriend, who is a massive Celtic fan.

"He knows I'm rubbish with names and things like that so he said; 'Anything football related - he's played for Manchester United, he's played for Celtic and Barcelona'. He said; 'Go for Henrik Larsson!'"

Larsson's solitary goal in the tournament came in a 2-1 loss to Italy in Eindhoven. Who knew that almost two decades later, it would provide one of the great Pointless answers?
