WATCH: Relive some of George Best's greatest goals

Ten years ago today, George Best passed away at the age of 59.

The Belfast native came to global prominence at Manchester United. Along with Bobby Charlton and Denis Law, Best was part of a side that dominated English football in the 1960s. The peak of his footballing career came as United won the European Cup at Wembley in 1968.

Best played for Northern Ireland 37 times, but never represented his national side a major international tournament as he missed out on the 1982 and 1986 World Cups.

He will be best remembered for his mazy runs through helpless defences as he ran riot through teams throughout his career in England.

One of Best's most impressive goals came in America near the end of his career. When playing for the San Jose Earthquakes, he walked through the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in 1981, showing just how great he was.
