Ronda Rousey has been pretty clear about the fact that she wants nothing to get in the way of her preparations for her comeback to the octagon.
In particular, she has completely shunned the media spotlight, avoiding interviews and tv appearances in the run up to the fight which takes place on Thursday night in Las Vegas.
Speaking to ESPN The Magazine in a rare feature piece, Rousey explained the motivations behind that decision to steer clear of all the obligations that would normally be part and parcel of what a fighter has to do.
"I will never put my body at risk for money and views ever again. What makes me happy is winning and being the best in the world and that's it," Rousey said. "F*** all the promotion and energy spent on anything that's not me winning."
On Wednesday, as she attended the weigh-ins and stood on stage, that attitude was evident once again as she went about her business in a no-nonsense way.
She was on stage for the minimum amount of time at the official weigh in, and once she found out that she had made weight, she was gone.

She didn't stick around too long in front of the media for the usual staredown either, heading straight off stage after Dana White separated the two fighters.

Her intensity and focus suggest that she's hoping she will be back to her best at UFC 207 and return to the top of the women’s bantamweight division.
