Wales annhiliate Uruguay in their first game of the Rugby World Cup

Wales got off to a winning start in the rugby World Cup as they beat Uruguay 54-9.

Depite the fact that Uruguay started the better in the contest, kicking two penalties in the opening ten minutes, Wales kicked into gear soon after and landed tries from Samson Lee and Cory Allen(3) in the first half alone to leave the score beginning to look a little lopsided at 28-9.

The second half did not get much better for Uruguay as Hallan Amos again got over the line within minutes of the restart. Gareth Davies(2) and Justin Tipuric finished off the try scoring for Wales as they went on to obliterate their underdog opposition.

Wales sit atop Pool A with a 45 point scoring difference but Australia are yet to play as they take on Fiji on Wednesday at 4.45 at the Millennium Stadium.
