Was Jordan Spieth's caddy the key at Chambers Bay?

Jordan Spieth made it back to back major victories last night, to win the US Open by one shot.  The 21 year old finished ahead of Dustin Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen.

The Chambers Bay course was key to the tournament, with the Washington course hosting its first professional tournament less than a decade after opening to the public. Many players went into the tournament blind about what to expect.

One player that did not have that issue was Jordan Spieth. His caddy Michael Greller caddied at Chambers Bay during the summer months when he was a teacher, before becoming Spieth's full time caddy in 2012. Speaking to ESPN before the tournament, Greller claimed to have caddied around the course at least 40 times when he worked there.

Greller met Spieth for the first time at the course in 2010 at the US Amateur Championships. They worked together the followinng year at the same tournament.

Such was Greller's love for Chambers Bay, he married his wife Ellie there in 2013.

Such was the fascination with Greller's story, he spoke to the press last night after Spieth's win.
