One of the terrorists who invaded Paris on Friday night attempted to enter the Stade de France but was stopped by security when he was discovered to be wearing a suicide vest.
Four people subsequently died in a bomb blast outside the stadium, a death toll that would could have been much higher had the terrorist been admitted into the premises.
All members of the France and England teams spent Friday night in the Stade de France and security processes were also increased for a UNICEF charity match at Old Trafford yesterday.

In January of this year, a radical Muslim preacher warned that Ireland is considered to be a legitimate target for an Islamist attack due to the provision of space for US military planes to stop and refuel at Shannon Airport.
But Ireland boss Martin O'Neill stresses that he is not worried about the security levels at the Aviva Stadium.

'I don't feel uneasy about the game. I think it was horrendous.... the events in Paris. It puts a lot of things in perspective including football matches. We're hoping that the stadium is well policed and I'm hoping we'll be okay but I haven't thought about that, it was more of a thought about the events in Paris itself.'
Speaking on RTE's Prime Time last night, Minister for Defense Simon Coveney expressed that an attack like the one experienced in Paris 'is unlikely to happen in Ireland.'
Elsewhere, Ireland received a welcomed boost with the re-introduction of John O'Shea and Shane Long to training ahead of the second leg against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Long was forced to sit out the first leg in Zenica due to an ankle injury while John O'Shea was also wounded but was not eligible to play the game due to a suspension from the game against Poland.
