What's going wrong at the Philadelphia Eagles?

It has not been a good start to the NFL season for Chip Kelly and his Philadelphia Eagles. The NFC East side have a 0-2 record in their opening games.

Donny Mahoney from balls.ie and Mark Saltveit the author of "Controlled Chaos: Chip Kelly's Football Revolution" joined Joe on Off the Ball last night to discuss the enigma that is the Eagle head coach.

According to Saltveit, Kelly is a "genius", but the coach would be the first to be annoyed by given that tag. Saltveit calls Kelly "a trememdous implementor". As soon as Kelly finds an edge from reading about the game, he adds it to his teams repertoire immediately no matter how big nor small it is.

Kelly's people skills have been debated since his days coaching the Oregon Ducks in college football, but Saltveit told Joe that the comparison is over stated. He cited plenty of free agents and former Oregon players that have joined Chip's revolution in Philadelphia.

The 51 year old is an advocate of sports science and has his players urine tested daily as he believed that dehydration helped aggravate soft tissue injuries.

Kelly's previous two seasons in Philadelphia resulted in 10-6 records each year. Despite their 0-2 loss Kelly and the Eagles will hope to improve against the New York Jets this weekend.
