Will La Liga's TV revenue ever be distributed more equally?

While the Premier League revels in a multi-billion pound TV rights deal, the situation in La Liga is markedly different.

In Spain, TV revenue is not organised collectively which means distribution is unequal and leaves Real Madrid and Barcelona with a disproportionately large slice of the pie.

Smaller clubs have to battle for the crumbs and for the most part the likes of Sevilla, Valencia and Atletico Madrid punch above their weights despite the disadvantage.

"The first problem is that Spanish football as a whole, doesn't market itself as well as English football, so therefore the size of the cake needs to - and will - increase," said Off The Ball's European football correspondent Graham Hunter.

"The rich get richer and the big get bigger. That's what's been happening. I think that will change. The general idea is that the equation will go from a share of 8:1 down to about 4:1 - a major change."
