Wimbeldon Second Round Review

There was one surprise in this year's Wimbledon second round as World No. 7 David Ferrer was knocked out and failed to reach a quater-finalist for the first time in two years. His opponent Andrey Kuznetsov beat Ferrer 6-7, 6-0, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 on Wednesday and will be moving on to the thrid round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in his career.

With Ferrer out of the mix, Murray can rest easy knowing he wont have to face the Spaniard in the quarter finals. Kuznetsov will go on to play Argentina's Leonardo Mayer.

Andy Murray is yet to drop a set in the tournament and looks confident back on grass courts. Murray defeated Blaz Rola in straight sets 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 and will play Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut in the next round.

World No. 2 Novak Djokovic was pushed to a fourth set in his match against Radek Stepanek but still defeated the veteran 6-4, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6.

In a press conference Djokovic said he did not expect the match to go past a third set but it ended up being almost four hours of play. Djokovic looks to play world No. 6 Tomas Berdych in the quarter finals.

In women's tennis Li Na, Agnieszka Radwanska, Petra Kvitova and Caroline Wozniacki will advance to the third round of the tournament after defeating their opponents in straight sets.

Two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka was defeated by Bojana Jovanoski in a three set match on Wednesday. Azarenka lost 3-6, 6-3, 5-7 to Jovanoski and will be resting a previous foot injury until her next tournament.
