If you find that you have already watched the best that most streaming services have to offer, here's a very helpful list of the best sports documentaries that YouTube has to offer. 

It shouldn't come as any surprise that YouTube has its fair share of older material that you could use to eat up some time during those long evenings in isolation, but the sheer extent of sports documentaries they have is staggering.

Coming from a range of different original sources, it appears as if fans of every major sport will be catered for. So, here's a very helpful list - in no particular order - of the best sports documentaries they have to offer.

Jack Charlton: The Irish Years

Hosted by Colm Meaney, this is a wonderful retrospective of Jack Charlton's tenure in charge of the Republic of Ireland soccer team.

Rocky & Wrighty: From Brockley to the Big Time (BT Sport Films, 2017)

BT Sport Films presents the incredible story of how a young David Rocastle's meteoric rise to stardom with Arsenal inspired boyhood friend Ian Wright to also achieve legendary status with the Gunners.

Clough - The Brian Clough Story (ITV Sport, 2009)

ITV Sport tell the story of legendary football manager Brian Clough and how he lead Nottingham Forest to back-to-back European Cup success. This documentary features extensive interviews with a number of Clough's former players.

Sir Bobby Charlton (BBC, 2011)

Hillsborough Disaster (BBC, 2016)

A truly devastating event that shaped English football thereafter, this is the tragic story of how 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives attending an FA Cup semi-final in 1989.

Jurgen Klopp's Journey to the Kop (LFC TV)

Taking you through the playing career and managerial jobs of Jurgen Klopp before he took Liverpool by storm, this documentary has some great footage of the German throughout these earlier times in his career.
