'I intend to dominate from the start' - Andy Lee on the Quillin date with destiny

Andy Lee says he has every intention of starting explosively and dominating American challenger Peter Quillin on Saturday night.

The WBO Middleweight champ will take on the boxer dubbed Kid Chocolate in Brooklyn and tonight he told Off The Ball that he will not wait to grow into the fight.

"With the Korobov fight, I boxed within myself early in the fight because I knew I would get a chance with him and he would slow down. But for the fight on Saturday, I intend to dominate from the start and in every round," he said, adding that the respect between himself and Quillin means trash-talking is not on the agenda for either man.

The Limerick boxer also explained that his punching style has also changed over time.

"I box a lot lower than I used to. I would've been standing up tall and throwing a lot more straighter punches, whereas now I'm a little bit lower in my legs and throw looser punches from the hip. I think that's where I've been generating a lot more power that you can see in my last couple of fights," he said.

Lee expects Quillin to be aggressive in his approach and thinks that could play into his hands.

"I have a suspicion he'll come and be aggressive. If he doesn't that wouldn't be his natural style of boxing and could leave him open," said Lee.
