'I've prepared for this fight harder than for any of my other fights'

Limerick boxer Andy Lee says winning the WBO Middleweight title will be the culmination of a long-held dream.

Lee is preparing to battle Matt Korobov for the vacant belt in Las Vegas this Saturday.

Speaking to Off The Ball tonight, he said preparation has been paramount with a title up for grabs.

"I'm in good form. I've sparred plenty of rounds and I've got a lot of experience. 21 of my fights have been in America so far. It's time to use all that experience and hopefully come out winning on Saturday night," said the 30-year-old, who admitted that the fight is evenly matched.

"It's a 50:50 fight on paper and in the ring. [Korobov] is a very good boxer. I've prepared for this fight harder and better than for any of my other fights. It's as big as it gets. It's the championship of the world and it will be a dream come true."

He also did not play down how much victory would mean to him.

"The way I feel about the fight is that for me to become world champion would change my reality and would be a change in my mentality. It's been something I've been trying for my whole life and I have the chance to do that on Saturday night."
