The last two seasons under Brendan Rodgers have led to plenty of spotlight on Liverpool's suspect defending.
But with a seemingly settled back four of Nathaniel Clyne, Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez starting the season (and keeping two clean sheets from two so far), The Times' Merseyside correspondent Tony Barrett believes the manager is learning from the errors of chopping and changing his defence too much last season.
Speaking to Off The Ball tonight ahead of the match against Arsenal, he said: "Brendan Rodgers didn't trust his full-backs last year and it's fair to say, they didn't trust him. It just didn't work for loads of reasons and I think that's something Rodgers has recognised. He's certainly said that one thing he wants to do this season - and this is recognising his own mistakes from last season - he wants a settled back four. There was too much chopping and changing. It was Skrtel, Lovren, Sakho, Toure and then the full-backs were chopping and changing."
