Arsene Wenger refuses to rule out a bid for Raheem Sterling

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out a move for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.

Wenger, who was speaking today ahead of Arsenal's game with Newcastle tomorrow was responding to the last night's news that Sterling is expected to not sign a new contract at Liverpool.

The England winger has two years left on his contract, but Liverpool may try and cash in on the 20 year old this summer if he is unwilling to sign a new contract at the club.

Wenger and Arsenal have a history of making hopeful bids for Liverpool stars. In 2013, the club bid £40,000,001 for Luis Suarez believing the bid was one pound over the Uruguayan's get out clause.

Suarez stayed at Anfield and joined Barcelona last summer.

Speaking earlier this morning, Wenger would not confirm or deny the Sterling speculation after being asked if he was interested.
