'I'm still with Brendan'

Liverpool fell to their heaviest league defeat in 52 years yesterday afternoon to Stoke at the Brittania Stadium.

Brendan Rodgers' side were losing 5-0 at the break in a turbulent week for the club as Raheem Sterling continues to push for a move away from Anfield.

A goal from Steven Gerrard in his final game for the club was the only bright spot on the game as Stoke ran out 6-1 winners.

On Newstalk Breakfast this morning, Ivan was joined as always by Phil Thompson and the future of the manager was at the centre of the conversation.

Rodgers is expected to travel to Boston in the near future, as he does at the end of every season to discuss his future with Liverpool owner John W Henry.

He seemed resigned to his fate after the loss stating; "I’ve always said if the owners want me to go, I go. It’s as simple as that. I still feel I’ve got a lot to offer here.">
