SOCCER

After yesterday's scoreless draw with Northern Ireland, it's back to the training pitch for the Republic of Ireland squad this morning. 
 
Manager Martin O'Neill says yesterday's game was useful to stretch the legs of some of those who haven't played in a couple of weeks. 
 
In the League of Ireland, Dundalk will be hoping to stretch their lead at the top of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division tonight
 
Stephen Kenny's side play host to Bohemians. 
 
Second placed Cork are away to Galway; St. Pat's will hope to build on last week's Cup win when they go to Derry City. 
 
Limerick return home to Markets Field for the first time in 31 years, with Drogheda the visitors. 
 
A resurgent Bray welcome Longford to the Carlisle Grounds. 
 
All of those games have 7.45 starts, while at 8pm Shamrock Rovers play host to Sligo Rovers. 
 
First Division leaders Finn Harps travel to Athlone this evening. 
 
Second placed Wexford Youths face Shelbourne, Waterford go to Cobh, and UCD welcome managerless Cabinteely to the Belfield Bowl.

TENNIS

Amateur, Marcus Kinhult is among a group of three heading the field on 5-under. 

RACING

There's a seven-race card at Leopardstown today, where the first is off at 5.25. 
 
There's also action at Downpatrick where the first goes to post at 5.45.
