A final round of 69 saw Rory McIlroy win the Wells Fargo Championship by a full seven shots.

The world number one topped the leaderboard at Quail Hollow on 21-under par, comfortably clear of nearest challengers Patrick Rodgers and Webb Simpson.

McIlroy's tournament total of 267 shattered the tournament record by five strokes, and was rightly pleased with his performance.
