At the age of 35 Paul Galvin is back with Kerry.

Thirteen months after he retired from inter-county football, it was confirmed by the Kingdom last night that he is part of the squad once again.

It remains unclear if he'll be involved for Sunday's meeting with Cork

Later tonight, there's quarter-final action in the Eirgrid Leinster Under-21 football championship.

Meath will host neighbours Westmeath in Navan, while Longford will host Louth in Newtowncashel and Laois will go up against a powerful-looking Dublin side at O'Moore Park. All throw-ins are scheduled for 7:30.

In the Premier league, Sunderland boss Gus Poyet was involved in a touchline spat with Hull counterpart Steve Bruce during last night's 1-1 draw at the KC Stadium.

It came as Poyet was leaving the field after being sent off following a disagreement with the match officials.

He took out his frustrations on a cooler box on the touchline.

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood says they got the win they deserved in last night's 2-1 victory against local rivals West Brom at Villa Park.

Christian Benteke scored a stoppage-time penalty to earn them the win which lifts them out of the relegation zone.

Southampton moved up to fifth place with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at St Mary's.

Five of the top six are in action tonight in the top-flight. Leaders Chelsea go to West Ham while second-placed Man City are at home to LeicesterArsenal and Manchester United will continue their battle for third place. The Gunners travel to QPR while United are just a point further back ahead of their trip to NewcastleIn tonight's other 7:45 kick-offs, Stoke are at home to Everton, and Swansea visit Tottenham.

There's an 8pm start at Anfield, where Liverpool welcome Burnley.

There's also one game tonight in the Scottish Premiership as league-leaders Celtic look to extend their six-point lead as they host St Johnstone at Parkhead.
