The Sunday Paper Review: Shane Jennings and Donal Dineen talk sledging, doping and social media

Shane Jennings and Donal Dineen appeared on Off The Ball this morning to cast their eye over the sports coverage in the Sunday papers.

The conversation ranged from the IAAF World Championships going on at the moment in Beijing, to the sledging that might take place in Croke Park today, as well as their views on social media.

Jennings stated that there were certain players who would be known for talking to and needling their opponent throughout a game, but that the danger always exists that you can end up looking pretty foolish if you try it too often and don't follow it up with a good performance on the pitch.

The panel also covered the big race in the 100m sprint between Usain Bolt and Justin Gatlin, and the topic of doping in athletics, something which has been making headlines for the past few weeks.

Jennings also revealed his feelings on social media, and stated that he agreed with Roy Keane when he said that some modern sports starts are too busy worrying about sending tweets and taking selfies than they should be.
